As Helen Wheeler’s Build a Wor(l)d with ‘ing’ enters its final week, The Portico Library prepares for two presentations: John Martin: Apocalypse, which examines the Victorian Romantic painter’s influence on contemporary film and visual culture, and Helen Wheeler: Artist Talk & Tour, an in-depth look at the current exhibition’s themes, processes and techniques. Brahm Gallery in Leeds presents a new body of work by James Moss as part of this year’s theme of Graphic.

The work on show references aggregation, roads, feedback, noise, correlation, repetition, cells, attraction, towns, repulsion, bugs, accumulation, units, nets and bonds while navigating the space between principle and decoration, material and artifice.
